Ghana: 27 December And January 2 declared public holidays

The Ministry of the Interior Ghana, Mr Prosper Bani has declared Tuesday,  27th December 2016 and Monday, 2nd January 2017 as public holidays in Ghana. This is because the both Christmas and New year (1st Jan. 2017) falls on Sunday. Today in History: Former President of Burkina Faso Thomas Sankara was assassinated in a coup d’état along with 12 aides on Oct 15,1987 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in a coup d’états. Ghana Passport: New Online Passport Application Service Launched

Ghana Passport Application‎ – On Tuesday,  December 20th 2016, the Foreign Affairs Minister, Hannah Tetteh, said the New Online Passport Application Ghanaian passports ‘will start rolling out in the first half of 2017’ Hannah Tetteh assured the Ghanaian public that they are aiming for a maximum of 15 working days for a standard application and a maximum of 5 working days for express.
