Donald KaberukaCongratulations! Donald Kaberuka receives Forbes Africa Lifetime Achievement Award! On Thursday, December 4, 2014, The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Donald Kaberuka  received  an Award of Excellence for all that he has accomplished in ADB (“Lifetime Achievement Award”) awarded by Forbes Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, at the 4 thedition of the Prize for the personality of the year organized by the magazine every year.

 In a speech  delivered on his behalf by Gabriel Negatu, Africa Regional Resource Centre Director Eastern ADB, Donald Kaberuka expressed how honored  he was with such this distinction…

“I am privileged to lead….”All I have done during these ten years at the head of the largest bank has been through their unwavering support, skills and dedication. ” Donald Kaberuka

Kaberuka also paid tribute to the leaders at the awards evening, inviting them and all those present to take up the torch, “When I look back, I look back on those years I past to serve Africa with the African Development Bank, I know we’re winning. But we have not yet won. “”Leadership brings us closer to this goal, and I salute those among you this evening, many are leaders. Those who register in your footsteps are the youngest and most dynamic population in the world. Africa has shown that it is full of wonderful opportunities for its youth. “
