Afcon 2015: Andre Ayew Explains Tears
Black Stars vice captain and 2015 Afcon top scorer Andre Ayew told reporters upon the team’s arrival in Accra on Monday.
“The feeling of losing a second Afcon final got me very emotional and I couldn’t control it. It was really difficult for me to take.
“I thought we just deserved the trophy. We played well and put in a lot of effort,” the pain of a second loss after Sunday’s encounter against Cote d’Ivoire was too much all Ghanaians especially the players who put in more than 100%!….“It was very difficult to accept the loss, but that is football.
