Italian Nutella billionaire Ferrero dies
Mr. Nutella Michele Ferrero an entrepreneur is Italy’s wealthiest man with net worth of £14.4 billion. He is the wealthiest chocolatier and owner of the Nutella empire.He died on Saturday, 14th February,2015 at age 89. Mr. Ferrero created the chocolate hazelnut, nutella spread, Ferrero Rocher Pralines, kinder eggs and Tic-Tac sweets, turning a provincial chocolate factory into a global empire.
His company revealed, he died at home in Monaco after months of illness. The Italian President Sergio Mattarella, led the tributes and said he was deeply touched by the death of one of the protagonist of the Italian industry. Mr. Ferrero’s net worth of £14.4 billion ranked him 31st,the highest of any Italian on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index as of February 15, 2015. Mr. Nutella built the business founded by his parents in the 1940’s into one of the world’s biggest confectionery companies.
He had a reputation as a forceful leader, generous and one who gives back to his community.
Forbes Magazine described Ferrero as the richest candyman on the planet, putting him and his family in the 30th place on their list of world’s wealthiest people.
