A court in the Southern town of Grasse has ordered a clinic in Cannes who switched two babies at birth belonging to two french families to pay £1.88m, six times less than what the families had requested. One of the mothers Sophie Serrano, 38, said “finally after soo many years,the error has been recognized. Now i’m cleared of everything. I’ve no reason anymore to feel guilty for anything”.
The clinic was ordered to pay £400,000 to each of the babies who are now young women and £300,000 to three parents concerned. However, one of the family’s lawyer, said that they were ”completely satisfied with the decision” and there was no question of an appeal…..
