Atlantic Southeast Airlines is a Delta connection carrier. The crew was Captain Rachelle Jones, first officer Stephanie Grant, and the flight attendants were Diana Galloway and Robin Rogers. At the time, no one realized the significance of the event. The assigned first officer became ill, and Stephanie Grant took his place. There are only ten black, female pilots in the U.S.
