Andre Harrell: Gone Too Soon
Andre Harrell who founded Uptown Record label and known for discovering and nurturing American rapper and actor, Sean john Combs, also known as P. Diddy in the entertainment domain has sadly passed away.
Reports on his death came as a shock to a lot of people including his business partners and friends because sources reveal, he posted on his Instagram page a day before his death.
Following the tragic news of the music executive, stars who have worked with him, fans and friends took to their social media pages to pay tribute to the famous producer.
For now, there hasn’t been any confirmation about the cause of Harrell’s death from Sources which confirmed his passing. He died at the age of 59.
Years later he came out with his own record label, Uptown Records where he brought into light great talents.
Those he singed under his record label after Mary J Blige, Sean Combs, include, Heavy D. & The Boyz, Al B. Sure, Notorious B.I.G., Guy, Jodeci, McGruff, Lost Boyz, and more
In 1995, Harrell was assigned the role of Chief Executive Officer for Motown Records where supervised the well celebrated artists like, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, and Queen Latifah.
He has co-produced hit songs including Pharrell William’s hit song “Blurred Lines released in 2013.
He was also serving as the vice chairman for P. Diddy’s multi-platform music network named, Revolt TV Network. Some of his music and television projects are, the “Genius Rap,” “Fast Life,” “AM/PM”, New York Undercover, Strictly Business and more
