Ghana Music Awards UK 2021
Ghana Music Awards, UK bounces back again after it cancellation last year due to the intense Covid 19 lockdowns.
This season of Ghana Music Awards, UK will celebrate the creativity of Ghanaian artistes based in Ghana and in the United Kingdom through the world of music. The event is scheduled on October 9, 2021 and will be organised virtually.
The event was officially launched on July 23, at the La Palm Royal Beach hotel in Accra where the nominees allocated to the various award categories were also announced. It was an amazing weekend with electrifying performances from Ghanaian musicians both home and abroad, not forgetting the huge presence of eminent Ghanaian superstars at the launching.
Legendary gospel singer, DSP Kofi Sarpong graced the occasion with classic performance. Other performers were, Celestine Donkor, Dope Nation, Wendy Shay, Kweku Darlington, Essie, Tiisha, Famwye, Epixode, Zeezy among several others.

Ghana Music Awards UK is organised Alordia Promotions and West Coast UK with Kabfam as the main sponsor, this year’s award ceremony has about 35 awards categories that honours the achievement of Ghanaian artistes projecting the image of the country and making waves around the world.
The award categories include, Gospel Song of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year, UK Based Worship Song of the Year, UK Based Highlife Song of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, New Artiste of the Year, Hiplife Song of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year, Uncovered Artist of the Year, Best Video of the Year, just to mention a few.
Lynx entertainment signee and Multiple award winning artiste, Kuami Eugene tops the nomination with thirteen, followed by Medikal with nine, Mr Drew with nine, VGMA artiste of the year Diana Hamilton, Sarkodie and Yaw Tog all received eight nominations apiece.
Congratulations to all the artistes on their nominations. They all deserve every bit of the slots they’re occupying.
