Asamoah Gyans Last Minute Goal Saves Ghana
Ghana’s striker, Asamoah Gyan striked late to give Ghana’s side of victory over Algeria. Gyan struck a dramatic stoppage-timer winner as Ghana kickstarted their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 1-0 Group C victory against Algeria in Mongomo on Friday, 22nd January,2015.
The striker who missed the opening 2-1 defeat by Senegal due to a mild bout of malaria was brought into the starting line-up by coach Avram Grant for a a must win encounter against the Algerians and also snatched all three points in the second minute of injury time.
His goal lit up the face of Ghanaian s and allowed Ghana to move level with Algeria and Senegal on 3 points in the group.
