FBF: History of Ghana football will be incomplete without mentioning the indispensable contribution of a football veteran, Asamoah Gyan.
The Ghanaian professional football striker began his outstanding career in the Ghanaian Premier League before gaining the attention of top European clubs.
Asamoah Gyan made enviable history as one of the few to win the BBC African Footballer of the Year in 2010 along with three consecutive awards of the UAE Pro League Top Scorer in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Asamoah Gyan was born in Greater Accra, Ghana on the 22nd of November, 1985. He grew up loving the poplar Ghanaian football legend, Abedi Pele and decided to work in her footsteps.
Gyan played for several local clubs in Ghana before signing his first professional career with Liberty Professionals in 2003. His talent, power, dribbling skills, and shot accuracy quickly attracted the interest of several clubs in Europe.
He began with Udinese and later, Modena, Rennes, and Sunderland before moving to Asia to play for clubs like Al Ain and Shanghai SIPG.

Internationally, Gyan had over one hundred caps and netted on over 51 occasions for his country.
Aside from football career, Gyan is also a prominent visionary business tycoon. He has invested many businesses, such as
‘Baby Jet Airlines’ which is scheduled to be in operations soon, Mama Vits noodles and rice, Baby Jet App and more
It is yet to be understandable, how the talented footballer mixes football with his ever-demanding business. However, Gyan has not lost his focus at any point in time as he continues to bring glory to the country while developing his investment yet further.

Gyan also own an energy drink company, bottled water company called the Paradise Pac Drinking Water. Arguably, he has helped increase employment opportunities in his Ghana.
