Ashanti King Of Ghana Otumfuo Osei Tutu II In Seychelles
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Ashanti King of Ghana, is currently in Seychelles for the 5th annual Carnaval International de Victoria.
29 countries will be participating at the Carnaval including Ghana. Ghana’s participation is very symbolic because of the special relationship Ghana has with Seychelles.

In 1896, about 120 years ago, during the British colonialism in Africa, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s great uncle Nana Agyeman Prempeh I, was forced to into exile in Seychelles when the then British government discontinued his rule.
Even though the British allowed Prempeh I to return home after 27 years and some his relations stayed behind in Seychelles… Full story of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s historic visit here.
Principal Princess Sikhanyiso Dlamini, the first child of Swaziland’s King Mswati III is also in Seychelles to take part in the Carnaval International de Victoria.
