The queen of pop music, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, affectionately called Queen Bey hits 40! 

Over two decades now, the extraordinary and talented singer has been relevant in the music industry. Celebrating this milestone has called for well-wishes and praises from family, industry colleagues, and fans worldwide.

It’s been a fantastic journey in the superstar’s life. Today, marking her 40th birthday, it has been widely celebrated globally, especially among African-American young female musicians she set the pace for.  

Beyoncé has indeed been of great inspiration to many artists in the music and entertainment industry. The love showered on Beyonce today is fantastic. MTV took Beyoncé’s fans back to 2014 when she was awarded as the Video Vanguard at the VMAs as a way of celebrating her legacy on her special day. 

UN Women also took to Twitter to celebrate the screen goddess for her remarkable impact in the role of women empowerment and equality. Taylor swift media sent hearty good wishes to her and praised her for her kindness and significant influence in the music industry.

Several media outlets, including BET, Netflix, and Billboard, have paid tribute to the greatest of all-time entertainer. Other artists, including Billie Elish, Kehlani, Dream Girls, Essence, and a lot more, have shared in the joy of the icon. 

Her pictures and collection of her early music to her current projects and excerpts of series of her fiercely stage performances have been displayed on social media to celebrate her legendary contribution in the world of entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle. Yes! It’s been a red-letter day in the life of the music star. 

Last year, the Grammy awards winner marked her 39th birthday in a grand style with series of projects including her Lion King; The Gift album, which featured some African artists like Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Yemi Alade, etc. alongside her “Black Is King” Visual album which has been well-received across the globe. 

Queen Bey was engulfed with love and gifts from her destiny child group and her family. Her mother complied with her very young age stage performances in joy as she celebrated her daughter’s feet on Instagram.

Beyoncé gained public recognition at a very age when she was just 9years as a leading vocalist for the R&B music group known as Destiny’s Child. Subsequently, she competed and won talent shows with her sensational singing and electrifying dancing skills. 

She released her debut album “Dangerously in Love” as a solo artist in 2003, which sold successfully and earned her awards, including five Grammys. Later she began acting and starred in a couple of movies such as Austin Powers in Goldmember, 2002, Dream Girls, Carmen: A Hip Hopera, Pink Panther, and Obsessed. Climbing to the top of her music career, she closely worked with top-notch talents like Sean Paul, her beloved Jay-Z, and Missy Elliot.

In 2018, she collaborated with her Jay- Z on another album dubbed Everything Is Love as the Carters.

As an internationally recognized music star and actress, Beyoncé has earned numerous awards from awards schemes like MTV Video Music Awards, Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and Forbes. This year, Time’s Magazine mentioned her as one of the 100 women who defined the last century. 

Beyoncé is also a philanthropist who has led many humanitarian activities under the Beygood Foundation to support less privileged individuals and vulnerable communities. The foundation has helped in education by providing scholarships and grants, empowering women, disaster relief initiatives, just to mention a few.
