June 21, 2014
The 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow began yesterday, and while the international, multi-sport event will feature a number of athletes from the 71 nations who belong to the Commonwealth, there will be one new athlete holding the banner for Ghana: Jedidiah Amoako-Ackah. In fact Amoako-Ackah will be Ghana’s first track cyclist for the competition.
He’s lived in Glasgow for the past 14 years. He’s Ghana’s first ever track cyclist. And he’s competing in the men’s sprint qualifying from 11am. Meet Jedidiah Amoako-Ackah, or ‘Jeddie’ for short. Wishing you all the Best!
