We are huge fans of African Celebrities who give back the their communities. Join us in wishing our Celeb of the day Cameroonian/French professional mixed martial artist Heavyweight fighter Francis Ngannou an blessed Happy Birthday! 

Francis Ngannou started working at the age of 10… He started engaging in trainings with a small club in Douala city, Cameroon at age 22.

His passion for boxing made him auctioned all that he owned to buy his sports outfits and equipment to help fulfil his vision as an internationally recognised boxer.

Because of his childhood experience of knowing how difficult it is for some children in Cameroon he decided to help make their dreams a reality

There’s nothing more rewarding than giving back and making a difference in the lives of people

Aspiring to provide the opportunity to fight for good and open doors his community,  Francis Ngannou founded a Charity Organisation ‘Francis Ngannou Foundation’ to help the underprivileged children in Cameroon.

The MMA gym is one of the project serving the main purpose of the foundation through training. The gym was regarded as the first well-built facility with all the necessary sports equipment in Cameroon.

The provision of quality facilities has helped a lot of youth in Cameroon to follow their dreams of combat sports through holistic coaching and experience

 Be it in a form of money or time, one of the most important and precious things anyone can do is to give back

He decided to channel the course more into sports because he believes sports has a huge impact on people’s outlook- and outcome like he experienced.

Therefore, providing similar opportunity he embraced in his trying days seeking to achieve his dreams for the young adult in Cameroon sounded the best.

He’s done a phenomenal job through his foundation and has helped with the discovery of skills by teaching the fundamental lessons of sportsmanship.

The foundation looks forward to expand trainings in sports like Judo, Boxing, Karate, MMA, and Kickboxing.
