The UK based award was founded in 2009 by Dentaa. The first of its kind was held in 2010 in the heart of London.

GUBA CEO Dentaa was inspired by the activeness of Ghanaians in diaspora and was concerned about how their great achievements usually go unnoticed.
Dentaa then took it upon herself to celebrate Ghanaians who has made tremendous impact in the United Kingdom to further encourage other Ghanaians
As well as showcasing their exceptional effort to raise the self-esteem of fellow Ghanaians in the country and across the globe.
The non-profitable organisation has set aside many award categories to fully capture all the facets of activities one can involve in.
These categories include: Charity of the Year Award, Science and Technology Award, Medicine, Education Award, Public Service Award and more
