Award-winning Ghanaian afro pop, reggae and dancehall artiste Stonebwoy (Livingstone Etse Satekla) is a year older today.

Since his appearance in the music industry, the renowned artist, has worked very hard.
His great talent and hard work has gained him recognition as one of the best musicians in the world.
The “multifaceted rapper”, who saw his passion for music and creative arts at a younger age, started singing and acting in primary 4.
He then began to engage in underground rap battle competition,” Kasahare” with the likes of Sarkodie, Dr. Cryme, among others during his senior high school days.
Before completing high school, he released several songs including “Makoma” and “Empress” as an underground artist, which gained him more popularity at that stage of his music career.
Through this, Stonebwoy got closer to Samini, got signed under Samini’s record label known as “Samini Music” and worked with him from 2009 to 2012, when he decided to establish his own record label, Burniton Music Group.
It was under Samini’s record label, Stonebwoy recorded his first hit single “Climax” which featured Samini and later “Ghetto love”, featuring Irene logan in 2012.
Following these two hits, he was nominated at the Ghana Music Awards and this earned him the exposure into the industry.
He released his first album consisting of seventeen songs, with collaborations with some prominent Ghanaian artists, including Samini, Edem, Tinny and others.
His style of music and rap has made him win the hearts of many people and has attracted large fan base globally.
In 2014, he released his next album dubbed, “Necessary Evil”, comprising of twenty-nine tracks which won him three awards out of six award nominations at the Ghana Music Awards.
Some of the tracks include, “Baafira” featuring Sarkodie, “Pull Up”, “Gwaan”, “No Sir”, “More Gyal”, Wicked and many more. In 2017, he released another album titled, “Epistle of Mama”, which he dedicated it to his late mother.
The album contains twenty-four songs which featured Sean Paul, Burna Boy, and King Promise.
Stonebwoy is always pursuing what is best for his music profession with hard work and perseverance.
Some of his hit songs include, “Tuff Seed”, “Tomorrow”, “Top Skanka”, “Go Higher”, “My Name”, “Most Original”, just to mention a few.
His positive energy behind his performance, has made him mount on huge platforms to inspire others with his music and also made it to stages worldwide to perform with world class musicians.
He has been consistent with his music career and has won several awards.
The awards include, Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the year, won five consecutive times at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Best International Act, 2015 at BET Awards.
As well as three awards in 2018 at 3Music Awards, Best Male Artist, 2019 at the African Entertainment Awards USA and a lot more.
