The body of the former UN Secretary General and Nobel Laureate arrived in Ghana on Monday, 10 September 2018.The 3-day national mourning for the former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan begins today.

Ghana President, Nana Addo Akufo-Addo and other delegates led the welcomed Kofi Annan’s remains at Kotoka International Airport. Also present was his wife Mrs Nane Maria Annan, children, grandchildren as well as some UN officials

The career diplomat and Nobel peace laureate was 80 when passed away in a Swiss hospital last month after a short illness

The former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan will be given a state burial (Accra International Conference Centre)
