Mary Spio Wins African Innovator of the Year Award At GUBA USA
The 2019 GUBA USA Awards took place at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, New York on 26th September 2019. This is the 10th anniversary of GUBA and the first edition in USA.
Congratulations to Mary Spio, the Founder and CEO and author of ‘It’s Not Rocket Science’ won African Innovator of the Year Award.
The award was presented by Mr. Joe Mensah, Managing Director of Kosmos Energy and Oppenheimer Faculty Director of Harvard University the distinguished professor Emmanuel K. Akyeampong.
”It’s an honor to represent innovators across 54 countries. I look forward to speaking at the African Forum during the United Nations General Assembly on charting Africa’s Future with Innovation.
It was a special moment to accept this award before His Excellency The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo and the First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
