Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born into the Madiba clan in the village of Mvezo, Transkei, 96 years ago today on 18 July 1918. Nelson Mandela personifies struggle. He lead the fight against apartheid with extraordinary vigour and resilience after spending nearly three decades of his life behind bars.
