Remembering Princess Diana On What Would Have Been Her 60th Birthday
Today, July 1st 2021, The royal family and the world are remembering and paying tribute to the Princess Diana of Wales on what would have been her 60th birthday.
Princess Diana passed away in a gory motor accident in August 31, 1997.
Remembering her birthday, a private ceremony was organised by the royal family with couple of memorable events such as the statue unveiling moment of the princess.
The sculpture of the late princess at Kensington Palace and was unveiled to the world by her two sons, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William and the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry.
Princess Diana’s statue was commissioned in 2017, but the family officially revealed it today as part of today’s memorial. The monument is mounted at the entrance of the palace which has undergone massive replanting of trees and flowers particularly, the kind of flowers the princess loved in her earthly days.

The garden is also described as one of Princess Diana’s favourite places in the place. The statue has two statues of children at the edges with Princess Diana’s arms around the necks of the children, believing to depict her love and the benevolent works she stood for.
Prince William and Prince Harry paid a combine tribute, posted the picture of their mother’s statue on twitter with a caption that said;
“Today, on what would have been our Mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better.”

People around the world joined the tribute by pouring out love for the late Princess Diana
Friends and loved ones of the royal family were also at Kensington Palace in London with picture frames and banners of the late princess alongside touching and heartfelt messages in honour of her 60th birthday.
