Shatta Wale Wins Best Virtual Entertainer Award At IRAWMA 2021

Ghanaian multiple award-winning and performing artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr famously known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale bags home award at the just ended International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).

 

The prestigious awards festival which took place on Sunday night, May 16 2021, saw the reggae and dancehall artist won the award for the “Best Virtual Entertainer of the year” category over selected contestants including; Agent Sasco, Beenie Man & Bounty Killer (Verzuz), Buju Banton and Capleton.

The program also featured world incredible and top-notch reggae and music entertainers like Ziggy Marley, Beenie Man, Gramps Morgan, Master KG, among several others of which Shatta Wale was the only African artiste to perform alongside the aforementioned Jamaican reggae superstars.

 

After several weeks of his absence on social media which sparked a lot of rumours about his health, the self-acclaimed dancehall king was captured on camera on Sunday night celebrating his success and praising the IRAWMA officials.

He also applauded his fellow colleagues, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy for their nominations.

His fans across the world also joined in his celebration in the comment section of his post. Two years ago, Shatta Wale grabbed two awards “Best Video of the Year” with his hit song “Gringo” and “Afro Beats Artist of the Year” at the 37th edition of IRAWMA which made the country so proud of him. The was awarded “Best Video of the Year” with his hit song “Gringo” and “Afro Beats Artist of the Year”.
