Yam Carnival 2021 London

The team behind Yam Carnival, UK has officially publicised the date and venue for this year’s mega festival.

Set to kick off on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Clapham Common in London, the event which seeks to celebrate black heritage through black music and food will see superstars across the globe performing live in three phases, as indicated by the yam carnival organisers.

The event’s flyers displayed on the various social media platforms, outlines three phases of which these renowned acts will be exhibiting their undying flairs through music and arts as part of the celebration. Nigerian Multiple Award-winning Afrobeats artiste, Davido has been highlighted as the main performer for the cultural festival.  

The line-up of the various performers for the identified three categories at the festival are as follow:

Carnival Stage

Beenie Man, Kehlani, NSG, Patoranking, Yemi Alade, Darkoo, Midas The Jagaban, Ms Banks, Omah Lay, Pa Salieu, Rema, Odeal And Tomi Agape.

Afrika Shrine Alive

Ari Lennox, Fally Ipupa, Femi Kuti, Koffee, NAO, Stonebwoy, Fatoumata Diawara, king promise, IAMDDB, King Promise, Nesta, Princess Nokia, Focalistic and Kwaku Asante.

Afrotronic

Honey Dijon, Richy Ahmed, Culoe De Song, DBN Gogo, DL LAG, Djeff, Jaguar, Sef Kombo & Kitty Amor And Virgo Deep.

Patron should be expecting thrilling performance from the blends of diverse music genres, from reggae and dancehall with swings of afrobeats, hip hop etc.

Excitingly, Jamaican dancehall icon Beneie Man took to his social media expressing his joy as he enjoys a long weekend on the stage of UK after almost a decade of performing live on UK stage. He will also be engaging Qoy Lawal who is the official presenter for the upcoming Yam Carnival in an Instagram live tonight at 7 pm.

King Promise, Yemei Alade among several black acts can’t wait to mount the stage in full glamour and display their impeccable flairs to the blacks in the diaspora.

DJs and hosts warmed up for the UK mega black music celebration include, DJ Edot, DJ Sogood, Eddie Kadi, Manny More, Native Sound System and Shopsydoo.

Tickets for the programme are still selling. However, selling for final batch of tickets ends today, July 30, 2021.

This year’s Yam Carnival is the maiden edition for the celebration of black culture, music and food launched by the group behind Afro Nation in the United Kingdom. The show was supposed to begin last year but the pandemic restrictions could not make way for the it.

Africans in the UK and around the world should anticipate an ecstatic event from the entire crew and performers.
